Privacy Policy
How Contruence handles personal information across our websites and membership service.
Scope
This policy applies to contruence.com, membership.contruence.com, and related Contruence services that link to it. When Contruence provides membership services for an institution, that institution also has responsibilities for its member relationships, communications, and privacy notices.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with Contruence or a participating institution, we may collect:
- Contact information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, and organization.
- Scheduling and correspondence information when you request a meeting or contact us.
- Membership information, such as membership level, payment frequency, join date, ZIP code, communication preferences, and account status.
- Transaction-related information, such as payment status, amount, date, and transaction identifiers. Payment card information is processed by the payment provider, and Contruence does not receive or store full card numbers.
- Technical information that may be generated when you use the sites, such as browser type, device type, pages visited, and security or diagnostic records.
How we use information
We use information to provide and improve our services, configure and support membership programs, process or confirm transactions, communicate with clients and members, produce reports and aggregate insights, protect the service, troubleshoot problems, and meet contractual or legal obligations.
How information is shared
We may share information with the institution whose membership program you joined, with service providers that support hosting, communications, scheduling, data storage, security, and payment processing, or when required by law. We may also share information as part of a business reorganization or transfer, subject to appropriate safeguards. Contruence does not sell personal information for money or use member information for third-party behavioral advertising.
Client institutions
For membership programs operated for a client institution, Contruence generally processes information to provide services to that institution. Questions about membership benefits, tax treatment, institutional communications, cancellations, or the institution's own use of member information should be directed to the institution.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, comply with agreements and legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain appropriate business records. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information held by Contruence, subject to contractual and legal limits. You may also withdraw consent for optional communications. Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply. Contact us at michael@contruence.com. We may need to verify your identity and, when Contruence processes information for a client institution, coordinate the request with that institution.
Children
Contruence services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Third-party services and links
Our sites may link to or use third-party services, including scheduling, payment, and social platforms. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date.
